About Us

Cresteramics provides a great opportunity for people with physical and/or mental disabilities.  Our overall mission is to achieve equality by providing support, respect, and inclusion while having fun!  Our initial success strived from our members creating and selling ceramics; however as logistics became more expensive, we had to diversify our products and services.  Today we offer nearly 30 different programs that run in our surrounding area.  These opportunities include supported employment, volunteer activities, high-school to adult transition programs, and various activities involving education, healthy living, and social development.  Cresteramics is funded through CLBC (Community Living British Columbia).

Our History

In 1951 the Endicott Centre was established to help Kootenay residents born with physical and mental disabilities.  Both the young children and adults at this facility created ceramics, products, and gifts for friends and relatives.  The surrounding community was pleased with the artisanship from our members; thus prompting a potential business venture.  In 1977, Cresteramics strived to help our members create and sell commissioned work.  Over time we diversified our products and services in order to cater to both our members and clients more effectively; starting solely with ceramics, today we offer nearly thirty different programs!
